ATTENTION: If your PC sucks BIG TIME, then make sure you read EVERY word on this page because you’re about to discover how you can extract 1647.1 mhz of free cpu performance, finally stop slowdown dead in its tracks and triple frame-rates in just a matter of minutes.
My name is Keith Smith and I’m finally going to let the cat out of the bag and share what only a select few know, yet nobody seems to talk about… Overclocking!
Discover a step-by-step system how anyone (even a complete newbie) can deliver explosive performance to their pc’s components using 100% free methods. Your pc will blow away any rig worth hundreds more and your game’s frame-rates will literally shoot through the roof as a result. In this article I’m going to explain the basics of overclocking your CPU and what you need to look out for.
Q : What is over clocking?
Overclocking is when you make your system processor run faster that its normal speed. This has many advantages and disadvantages.
Advantages : Your system will run faster
Dis-Advantages : Overclocking can be difficult. If you don’t understand what you’re doing, you could be putting your PC in danger because you’re speeding your CPU beyond the manufacturers specifications. Although you’ll get a ton of performance from your PC and your games will play smoother, your components will run at higher temperatures and your CPU will be under more stress. There is an increased chance your system will overheat or crash due to the extra heat generated by the CPU. Your hardware is likely to have less a life span.
Q: What components do I need?
You need a special motherboard. Most motherboards will automatically detect your processor make and speed and won’t allow you to make configuration changes. When buying a motherboard you need to make sure that you can change the processors bus speed. You will also need to buy some extra fans for your computer as it will be working harder and as a result everything will run at a higher temperature. It might also be worth looking for a case that can hold lots of case fans.
Q: How do I overclock a processor?
What you need to do is over clock the processors bus speed. You will need to check the manual that came with your motherboard on how to do this. Go into your Bios to find your FSB. FSB stands for Font Side Bus and this is where the majority of CPU overclocking comes from. Once you’ve found your FSB option, there should be a 3 digit number next to it. All you do is simply move the number up another ten points and no more. I would recommend that you start by only overclocking a little bit before you try to get the most out of your processor.
Q: Tips for Over clocking?
Start by overclocking only by a small amount. If you overclock your processor too much your system will not come on and there is a chance that you could damage the processor and motherboard. If you do overclock your processor too much and the computer does not come on you can reset your motherboards configuration by removing the power at the back of your PC and also removing the battery on the motherboard for a few minutes.
The reason why you move it no more than that is you don’t want to damage your PC. So take little steps when overclocking your CPU. Once done, save and quit from bios and head into Windows.
You now want to run at benchmark, I would recommend on using 3DMark 05 or 06. There is others but these are the ones I personally use. Now simply run the benchmark and you should notice that you have a higher score than what you did before you overclocked your CPU! And that is the basics of overclocking!!!
Monitor the temperature of your processor. You can sometimes check this by going into your computer BIOS as it will be displayed in there. If it is not in there, there are freeware programs that you can download, Try searching www.download.com
Make sure you have a decent processor fan. Always buy a fan that supports much faster processors as this will cool your processor much better. Buy and fit as many case fans as you can.
Before overclocking your processor do some research by searching the internet for stories of what other people have done. This way you will know how much you can realistically overclock.
There is another way of overclocking your CPU by using the Multiplier but this option is only available to the top of the range CPUs.
Warning: You need to be very careful overclocking your system or you could damage your processor and / or motherboard. www.aheadtechgroup.com

How To Build Your High End Office or Gaming PC for under $1,000
Building a computer can be a very rewarding experience. Since you’re reading this, you’re probably thinking about building your next computer instead of buying one pre-built. This is a very viable option these days and can bring many benefits; you can learn a lot about computer hardware by building one, you get a totally personalized computer, you can choose better components and you may be able to save some money and have fun.
Additionally, if you are the sort of person who wants to understand how things work, if you take broken stuff apart just to see how it all fits together, if you have a drawer somewhere full of “parts” you think may come in handy someday, then you just may be in the right place.

Understanding Operating Systems

Our body couldn’t function without our brains. The brain tells the various pieces of our body how to work and how to interact. Without a brain, we wouldn’t be able to do anything at all.
An operating system is kind of like the brain of a computer. You have a bunch of hardware like the CPU tower, the monitor, and the keyboard, but without a CPU, they can’t do anything but power up and turn on. The operating system organizes files and lets the hardware know what it should do.
In the early days of computers, there was just one operating system. As computers progressed, the OS turned into MS-DOS, but computers really weren’t capable of doing much without software. Then Bill Gates came along.
With the founding of Microsoft, the computer operating system came into its own and brought computers to new levels of functioning and technology. Although the brand names of operating systems are few, they do perform different tasks depending on the requirements of the computer user.
While the dominant OS today would be Microsoft Windows, there are other types of operating systems that offer different features. Those would include Linux, UNIX, and OS X.
In our technological age, there are operating systems in more than just computers. Many of the sophisticated new cell phones have their own operating systems, and wireless access points have their own OS to provide wireless internet to customers. In fact, the computer in a cell phone today is more powerful than a computer was twenty years ago.
As you can see, the operating system technology has evolved and is continuing to evolve. It seems like Microsoft is always coming out with a new and better operating system which leads people to wonder whether or not the system they are currently using is really the best one.
It can be confusing. But it doesn’t have to be. In the pages of this book, we’ll explore operating system in depth. You’ll learn about what they do, how they work, and what needs specific systems can meet. Ultimately, the choice is a matter of preference, but it helps to be informed on what you are really getting when choosing an OS.
